New Ultraman was the first figure released in the Allies of Justice line, coming out in October 1971, along with the MAT Member. This Ultraman is really from the Return of Ultraman series, which aired from April 21st, 1971 to March 31st, 1972. Originally he was called New Ultraman, but sometime in the late 1970's or early 1980's, Tsuburaya and Bandai held a contest to rename him, and the winning name chosen was Ultraman Jack. From that point on he has been referred to as Ultraman Jack for licensing purposes. Since this figure was released prior to that, we’ll just stick with New Ultraman.
